Tiffin's 5th and 6th grade leaders spent this week discussing the importance of getting a good education: students set their expectations for science class and then they created job descriptions for the teacher, their parents, and themselves; class mission statements were written in each class; and the 6th grade leaders then looked at the steps of solving a problem as they helped save Fred. Fred is a gummy worm stranded on top of his upside down boat and his life preserver is trapped under the upturned boat. Students were not allowed to hurt Fred while saving him: in addition, they could not touch Fred, the boat, or the life preserver while getting the floatation device on Fred using only 4 paperclips. A variety of methods were used to save Fred.
Tiffin is off to a great school year! Check out our photos!
