CMS2 Scientists Create Plant Cells and Attend Webinar
October 8th, 2012Middle School 2 News, Old News No Comments
The 6th grade science classes at CMS 2 have been busy this year. We have finished a unit on cells with students constructing a cell model. Students were given a list of organelles to include in each cell. They then had to create a 3 D model and label it. The label had to include the function of the organelle. Some of the projects were very impressive.
On October 3rd several students took part in a webinar originating in Texas called “Science and You.” A professor from Texas A&M discussed scientific methods, types of scientific exploration, and introduced many options for careers for students interested in math, science, or engineering. Our students were well behaved and represented Chillicothe well.
