Special Schedule — all week October 22nd – 26th        The Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) is an exam that all Ohio students must pass in order to graduate from high school.  The exam tests five areas (math, science, social studies, reading, and writing): students must pass all five areas to graduate.  Students begin testing in the spring of the sophomore year and will continue taking the test every fall and spring thereafter in hopes of passing all portions of the exam to graduate from high school.

The Fall OGT is only for students who have previously taken the OGT and did not pass one or more portions of the exam when they were previously tested.  For the week of October 22-26 CHS will observing a special bell schedule to make sure the environment of CHS is as quiet as possible for those students testing.  Students who are testing for OGT week should report to school at the normal time of 7:15 am and be in their assigned classes by 7:30 am.  OGT testing will be from 7:30-9:30 am each day and only students who are being tested have to be at CHS at this time.  All freshman and sophomores do NOT have to report to CHS until 9:30 am.  Any junior or senior who has passed all portions of the OGT does not have to report to CHS until 9:30 am.  Only those students who have previously taken the OGT and not passed all parts must report to school at 7:30 am to be tested.  Homeroom will begin at 9:45 each morning.

Students, if you have any questions about whether or not you should report to CHS at 7:30 am on all or specific days next week see your guidance counselor immediately.

Any student, who does not have to take the OGT who arrives early, will be asked to NOT loiter outside the school and instead report to the main gymnasium until the 9:30 bell rings to begin the shortened regular school day.  Homeroom will start each day next week at 9:45 am.  We will still run our Odd Block days on Monday and Wednesday and our Even Block Days Tuesday and Thursday with Friday being a summary day where you will report to all periods.
