Chillicothe Primary School will serve approximately 600 students Kindergarten through 2nd Grade in our new state of the art building. Our building is staffed with highly qualified professionals that are dedicated to providing a safe and enriching learning environment conducive to student success and student achievement. All of us at Chillicothe Primary believe that every student has the potential to be an outstanding student, citizen and leader.

We are a STEM Designated Building in the state of Ohio. Chillicothe City Schools is committed  to preparing our students for successful careers and opportunities in fields or jobs that may not even exist yet. Students engage differently with a variety of topics based on their own interests, experiences and questions. Our VOICE program provides opportunities for students to choose topics to study in depth. These groups are made up of students from multiple grade levels who share a common interest. Students interact with local experts and community leaders who help to enhance these learning experiences. Our students will also be participating in Environmental Science Research during our Muddy Boots and Backpacks program in coordination with the Ross County Parks and Recreation Department.

Chillicothe Primary School is a Lighthouse School in Leader In Me. We incorporate Dr. Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into our curriculum. Students learn the importance of setting goals and achieving those goals. Our Mission at Chillicothe Primary is to Learn, Lead and Serve.
