HAPPY SPRING BREAK, CAVS! Our fundraiser is still going strong, so let's keep it alive this week! Another easy and effective way to reach your goal is to ask family and friends to show the fundraising brochures at work. Every item counts, so don't be afraid to ask aunts, uncles, and grandparents to show it at their workplaces, too!

This is your 1st full weekend to attack the fundraiser! Show your favorite neighbors, relatives, family friends, and church goers. Take it to any events you've got going on this weekend. Good afternoon! We are very pleased with our new Stem Lego Coding Program! This gives students a PBIS intervention that utilizes cooperative activities through technology and fun. We had a chance to visit the class yesterday and were thrilled with the progress! Thanks Brooke Fife for her help with our kids. Here are some pics!

Our Century Resources fundraiser has started! Our goal is to raise $10,000 for PBIS INCENTIVES, BIKE GIVEAWAY,CLASS PARTIES AND OTHER STUDENT AWARDS!! The expectation is for every student to sell at least 15 items or more! QUICK START CONTEST! ANY STUDENT THAT SELLS 8 ITEMS BY THIS FRIDAY SHOULDSHOW THEIR FORMS IN THE MAIN OFFICE TO SELECT AN AWARD. *Awards will be distributed in April. **Fundraising allows us to lower costs, buy additional equipment, and continue to grow the program, so we really do need every student to participate. The Class of 2027 is hosting a Sweetheart Dance for all parents or guardians and their students in grade K-6 on April 5 in the CHS Cafeteria. Instead of having a Daddy Daughter Dance, they want to be more inclusive and invite all CPS and CIS students to bring an adult. DJ Hazel will be spinning tunes, CAVS Media will have a photo area, CHS Band Boosters will have refreshments for purchase, and there will be a game/craft area for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks to Sergeant Shanks and the Chillicothe Police Department for sharing the DARE program with our 6th graders. Today we concluded the program with the 6th grade DARE graduation! We want to thank all the parents who joined us to celebrate our kids. We want to thank Blake Vandemark for his positive speech to our students. February 24 - 28 is Public Schools Week! We are so happy to be able to provide our students with unique and enriching educational opportunities. We are so thankful for our teachers and staff, who make all of the great things we do possible! Being able to provide a great education to the youth in our community is so important to us. We will continue to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. Thank you for entrusting your students to us!

🌟 Huge Congratulations to the Battelle Challenge Teams from Chillicothe Intermediate! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that the 3rd and 6th grade teams have been recognized for their incredible work in the statewide Battelle Design Challenge! 🏆 🎉 3rd Grade Team: Marshall Kellam, Rose Lawson, Louis Pritchett, and Daisy Dailey This team earned the title of Southeast District HUB Winner for Elementary School by focusing on harnessing energy from exercise equipment to improve sustainability in low-Earth orbit. ⚡💪 🎉 6th Grade Team: Mailey Cox, Kiley Payne, Avery Park, and Ella Johnson The 6th grade team was named the Southeast District HUB Winner for Middle School for their innovative plan using rotifers (zooplankton) and plants as biofilters to enhance sustainability in space. 🌱🔬 Both teams tackled the challenge of improving the sustainability of materials, habitable space, and energy in low-Earth orbit. Their brilliant solutions could have a lasting impact on both space and Earth sustainability! 🌍🚀 Next week, both teams will head to Battelle in Columbus to compete against 19 other teams from across the state for the statewide winner! 🌟 We couldn’t be more proud of these young innovators and can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish next! 👏

The registration office is now located between the middle school and high school main offices.

We had a very nice board meeting at Chillicothe Primary School last night! CPS students led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and shared thank you cards with our board of education. We thanked our Board of Education for all of their hard work, and unwavering dedication to the district. Our master teachers were also honored! We were excited to recognize Rebecca Seidel, Chelsea Herbert, Lindsay Burns, and Inna Ogle.
