This weekend, the Keys 2 Success Ambassadors attended a 3-day Leadership Conference at Kalahari Resort, where they put in an incredible amount of work as they developed a project they hoped to bring to their peers. Throughout the conference, they moved through workshops that challenged them to think in new ways, learned about the PRIME model, explored data points that guide real decision-making, gained leadership skills, and practiced creating meaningful content to support them as they prepared to write a grant to bring their idea to life.

It was inspiring to watch these students push themselves. They stepped out of their comfort zones, asked questions, shared ideas, and leaned on one another throughout the process. They also built new friendships, strengthened existing ones, and encouraged each other with kindness and maturity. Seeing their excitement grow as they realized what they were capable of was the highlight of the weekend. We are so proud of this group—their hard work, their heart, and the leadership they've brought back to our school. 💛✨

Thursday, December 11th, our Chillicothe Cavaliers wrestling ladies and gentlemen will be in action at home. Our Cavalier middle school and high school wrestlers will go head-to-head with the Washington Courthouse Blue Lion wrestlers. Start time is 6:00 p.m.

Our Chillicothe Middle School boys competed in the Logan Middle School Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, taking on athletes from 15 schools! We’re proud of their hard work and strong finishes:

As we approach the winter break, here are important dates to keep in mind!

As part of their class attendance incentive, Mr. Wiseman’s first graders earned a gold coin and the chance to choose a new class book from our Book Nook! Students voted on their favorite title, then gathered eagerly to watch the winning book make its exciting drop from the machine. What a fun way to celebrate great attendance and a love of reading! Keep up the great attendance!

Mrs. Metzger's music students had the opportunity to hear from CIS student and ballerina extraordinaire, Lilah Burns, about dance techniques, style, and shoe design as part of their study about the ballet The Nutcracker and leading up to their cinema experience where they will get to watch The Nutcracker.

This weekend was the Ohio University Honor Band and we were proud to have 4 students participate. Congratulations to Yohan Abreu, Elijah Frizzell, Benton Meyers, and Jacey Stephens. Benton and Jacey participated in the Festival Symphonic Band under the direction of Dr. Richard Suk and Yohan and Elijah participated in the Festival Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. William Talley. Special congratulations to Elijah for his first chair placement!

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Ross County Elks Hoop Shoot Contest! Our Cavaliers rose to the occasion and made us proud!

In the 8-9 Division, Gigi Trotter took 1st place, and Bentley Queen placed 3rd.

In the 10-11 Division, Victor Hall came in at 2nd place.

Finally, in the 12-13 Division, Joshua Strong brought home 1st place!

Gigi Trotter and Joshua Strong will compete in the District Competition on January 11th!

Our Atomic Credit Union Student-Run Branch is off to an incredible start this year—already reaching our goal and earning the Cash Machine incentive! We’re the first school to achieve this in 2025, and we couldn’t be more proud. We can’t wait to see how the program continues to grow and impact students at Chillicothe Primary.
