Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas! 💙🎄

Very big “Thank You!” to our special friends at Thomas Worthington High School for gifting every student at Chillicothe Primary School with their own unique gift for Christmas! Your generosity and kindness to our kiddos means so much and is greatly appreciated! 💙

So much fun decorating Christmas cookies! 💙🎄

Here are the early release times for all buildings today!

Last night’s second grade holiday program was oh so much fun! The kids were so merry, singing classic holiday songs and reading holiday poems! We had a fantastic turn out, as well. The cafeterium was PACKED, for both the white team and the blue team.
We know the kids had a great time putting on this festive show for everyone! 🎄💙

AIM Christmas Dinner 🩺🎄
We had a lovely time yesterday celebrating the holidays with our AIM students. We enjoyed a yummy Italian dinner, courtesy of Chillicothe City School Food Services Department, gifted these students with their first stethoscope, and got to hear updates from each student on their rotations and experience in the program thus far!

Chillicothe Middle School gathered today to celebrate the induction of these exceptional students into the National Junior Honor Society.
This is a momentous occasion, marking the recognition of their dedication, achievements, and unwavering commitment to the values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Each student has demonstrated a remarkable ability to excel in the classroom, inspire and lead your peers, give back to your community, and embody the highest standards of integrity and citizenship. Your accomplishments are a testament to your hard work, perseverance, and unwavering pursuit of excellence
Congratulations to our 2024 National Junior Honor Society inductees!!

The district administration and Board of Education was honored to recognize six teachers at last night’s board meeting for their outstanding achievement of Exceeding Expected Growth on Value Added!
Pictured below are Cassandra Bryant, Cathy Hall, Nancy Arledge, Todd Seymour, Forbes Hamman, and (not pictured) Kyle Suter! We’re very grateful to have such exceptional teachers in our district. Congratulations to these educators! Keep up the amazing work!

Our final board meeting of 2024 is this evening!

Yummy!
Our students here at the high school, and at Chillicothe Middle School had the option for a “Build your own” Ramen Bar today at lunch! Students could add a variety of vegetables, as well as choose between chicken, beef, or vegetable broth, and had the choice between chicken or beef for their protein.
We are very grateful for Chillicothe City School Food Services Department and their dedication to making sure our students have well-balanced, and varied lunches while at school!

Our Cavaliers did a pretty great job at the Ross County Elks Hoop Shoot Contest!
For the 10-11 boys division, Joshua Strong took 1st place! Addison Blevins took 2nd place for the 10-11 girls division. Cameron Jones and Lily Bryant both took 2nd place for the 8-9 boys and girls divisions, respectively.
Keep up the awesome work, ballers! 🏀💙

Last Thursday, students in Mrs. Miller’s class participated in a real-life spending simulation through OSU Extension called “Real Money. Real World.” Through this financial literacy program, students do four preparatory lessons, participate in the spending simulation, and then have a post-session evaluation of their spending choices!
At Chillicothe, we prepare our students for more than just their future education or career-field - We prepare them for their whole future! 💸💙

We're sharing one final reminder for our Cavalier Coffee Hour tomorrow, at 9:30AM! This event is a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to learn more about our district and ask questions in a personal and close knit setting. We will be meeting in the Paper City Conference Room.
If you are considering a change in your child's education, Chillicothe City School District is here. We hope you'll join us for this event!
Cavaliers, please share with anyone you know who may be interested in CCSD!
